"Minack" in Cornwall means a rocky place and the black headed crag below the theatre has always drawn local fishermen. Until the 1930’s they had the gorse filled gully to themselves and the cliffs echoed to the cries of gulls not actors. From 1931 until she died in 1983 the Minack Theatre was planned, built and financed by one determined woman - Rowena Cade. From humble origins a local village play in 1929 led to the seventeen week summer season now staged in the Minack theatre whaich had a 750 seat fully equipped auditorium in one of the most spectacular settings in the World.The productions at the Minack Theatre are staged in the open air from early May to late September.

Our classical lunchtime recitals at the Falmouth Arts Centre continue to bring you the best young musicians from all over the country.

The Hall for Cornwall theatre attracts just under 150,000 theatre-goers each year. The theatre has hosted companies such as Rambert Dance Company and The Royal Shakespeare Company as well as a wide range of entertainers from Bill Wyman and Mike Reid to Coldplay and Wheatus.

The Princess Pavilion and gardens provide an all year round entertainment programme using professional, semi-professional and amateur artists and groups aimed at family entertainment. The Princess Pavilion is an indoor Theatre / Multi-purpose hall, capable of holding 400 people.

The Acorn thatre, Cornwall is a registered charity and puts on local and international productions all year, as well as music and comedy.
